Name: As told by Margaret Sharman McCallu
Peter Cameron
Profession: Farmer

Married: 1808-09
Catharine McIntosh
Born 1780s at Argylshire Scotland
Children
Son John Born 24 April 1810
The family all spoke Gaelic.
My knowledge of the Cameron family is very limited. The only thing I remember was Granny Dingwall telling me of them was that Granny Cameron had the "Gift". I believed her as it runs in the family. Seemingly, she saw one of her sons drowning from a sea tragedy. She knew he was dead long before anyone told her.
Then there was a tale Aunt Nan told me of the time that they were visiting at the farm. While there, they were expected to clean the byre and clean out the buckets afterwards. This day their two female cousins were going out with their respective boyfriends so, to embarrass them, they picked up a couple of empty buckets and started to follow them down the farm lane calling on them to come back and finish the byre and clean the buckets out. Those two cousins were ready to kill them.
I never met any of my great-grandparents or their families.

My mother is a McIntosh from the Pickerel River area.
It is funny you mentioning the "Gift". My mother also had a gift of sorts. Whenever she dreamed of dark murky water, she new that someone was going to die. She always seemed to know who; family member, close friend or acquaintance by the intensity (or some such thing )of the dream.
Who knows maybe there is a connection.

In reading your Descendants of Peter Archibald McIntosh, I saw my grandparents (GEORGE WEBSTER (JIM)3 MCINTOSH & LORETTA ESTHER NANCY TYSON) - I noted that you just had "Girl" McIntosh as their descendants, along with my Uncle James. The Girls are MARILYN JANETT MCINTOSH b. 1937, and TERRIE ANN MCINTOSH b. 1953.
If you are interested I also can continue the descendants of Marilyn and Terrie.
